- A complete Classical Sonata
- A virtuoso etude
1st Round Recital
September 8-11
Duration: 25-30 minutes
Programme is to be chosen freely and must include:
- A first movement of a classical sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Clementi, or Early Beethoven (op. 2-22)
- A romantic work of considerable musical and technical difficulty
* All pieces must be performed by memory
2nd Round Recital
September 12-13
Duration: 55-60 minutes
Programme is to be chosen freely and must include:
- 3 pieces from Childhood Memories Suite by Alexey Shor
- One complete Sonata by Beethoven or Schubert
Candidates cannot repeat the same works in rounds 1 and 2.
* All pieces must be performed by memory
3rd Round Performance with 2nd piano • Semi Finals
September 15
A complete concerto performed with a 2nd piano
Concerto must be selected from the below list of Classical & Romantic Piano Concertos
* All pieces must be performed by memory
Final Round
September 16
The same concerto of the 3rd Round will be performed with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra in Tel Aviv’s Opera House on September 16th with Dmitry Yablonsky conducting.
List of Classical & Romantic Concertos for Candidates to choose from:
- Beethoven: Nos. 3, 4 or 5
- Schumann: A minor
- Chopin: Nos. 1 or 2
- Brahms: Nos. 1 or 2
- Rachmaninoff: Nos. 2 or 3
- Tchaikovsky: No.1
- Ravel: G major
- Gershwin: F major
* All pieces must be performed by memory
